2000 & Drum is a novel asteroids clone developed by a team of DT228 students:

2000 & Drum came FIRST PLACE in the XNA Ireland Games Programming competition as part of Games Fleadh 2009 in the Tipperary Institute. The team competed against teams from 13 other institutes with their novel implementation of Asteroids in XNA, controllable using the Guitar Hero drum kit.

The game which makes use of vector graphics and procedurally generated audio was judged a clear winner by judges from Microsoft Game Studios, Popcap games, Blackrock Studios, Atari and Realtime Worlds. The team takes home €600 in prize money and the XNA Ireland Challenge perpetual Cup
