Purgatorio is a point-and-click adventure game I developed and created as a media project while studying in Ballyfermot. It was made using Adventure Game Studio and all the in-game visuals were photographs taken by me and my friends and edited in photoshop to have a consistent stylised look. It was chosen as the pick of the month on the official AGS website, February 2008 and it was chosen by 1up.com as one of the best free games on the web! (2008)
Kill those Pigeons! is a game I made for my girlfriend while she was feeling sick. It’s a simple 2D side scrolling shooter where the player must survive as long as they can, while shooting oncoming pigeons to score points.
I did all the visuals, animation and sounds. It was made using Game Maker. Hopefully it made her feel a bit better.
Play the game here or watch the thrilling action unfold below.
At the moment I am working on a group project as part of the Masters in Games Design. The idea is to model a large area of Glendalough, Co. Wicklow, including the lake, the monastery and the surrounding woods. We are recreating the region in the CryENGINE 3.

Here are some screenshots of the model so far. I created these by downloading ordinance survey maps of the area and tracing the topographical lines in different shades of grey to create a heightmap. This was used to create the hills, valleys and lake bed in the editor and the texture that is applied to it is made up of satellite images.
