Single Player

My final year project is to create a game called "Free Radicals", based around the chemistry of the Ozone layer. The player controls a nanobot called "Dobson 1.0" who's sole purpose it to reduce the effects of ozone depletion, this is achieved by converting greenhouse gas molecules (CO2, H2O, N2O, CH4) into O3(Ozone), in doing so repairing the hole in the ozone layer. Weapons and a power source will be absorb through the breakdown of the greenhouse gases. It will be a race against time, with the "Dobson 1.0" having to produce enough O3 to stabilise the ozone layer. Free Radicals molecules(CFCs, NO, OH) will be constantly breaking down the Ozone molecules at a faster rate than the UV light they absorb so the Dobson 1.0 will need to destroy these before producing new ozone molecules.

Multiplayer Game (2-4 Players)

Like the single player game the nanobot's(Dobson 1.0, Dobson 2.0, Dobson 3.0, Dobson 4.0) will battle each other to produce the most amount of Ozone molecules. One point will be scored for every ten Ozone molecules released. If the nanobot gets destroyed they will loose one point from their current score. There is also a short delay before respawning. The first player to reach the target score wins the game.

Tutorials 1-6

It is advised that a new player should play through the tutorials in order to learn how to play the game. There is a test level in Tutorial 6 which the nanobot can't loose, so you can spend as much time as you like playing about in it.

Simulation

This is like a screen saver, once switched on, it will continue until the exit button is pressed.

Hint

Press the "Start" button at any time during gameplay, to access to "Atoms & Molecules" guide and the "Controls" layout screens.
