Contamin8

Background Information

Contamin8 is a serious games project developed between the DIT School of Computing, Digital Media Centre, Learning Technology Team and School of Food Science & Environmental Health. The game is a 'click and drag' based food safety game. It is a 2D casual game that any novice or extreme gamer can pick up and play. The game only involves clicking the mouse so don't be scared to give it a try!


Aim of the project

This games main objective is to highlight contamination during the preparation of food in a kitchen environment and to make people who play the game more aware of the proper health and safety practices that should be maintained in this environment.


Technical Information

This game was built using Playfirst.com's SDK called Playground. It was coded in C++ and LUA and designed with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Flash CS3.
