Garret O'Kelly
I am an MSc student in DIT. My background is that of analyst programmer.
With the groups permission, I hope to avail of this project as research for my MSc. I'm interested in using a wiki to elicit and validate requirements for software development. I would like to facilitate a pilot requirements gathering process with this project.
In return, I hope the project can benefit from my input in two ways: my research may help bring clarity and focus in the important early stages of the project and I can contribute several years of practical development experience to discussions.
I can be contacted at garret_okelly@yahoo.com

I am very excited to be part of this interdisciplinary team and to have the opportunity to develop language materials for young learners.
My main role is coordinating the work of the language team. I am also developing a corpus of vocabulary for some of the units in the Primary School Modern Languages Syllabus. I have worked with Alma in the vocabulary items relating to food and shopping. I think I am developing an 'appetite' for this type of creative work.
Can anybody tell me how to get an image uploaded to this section?

I am a lecturer in French and my main role is to develop a corpus of French vocabulary and phrases that will be used in the games. It is my first time using a wiki, quite exciting as I'd like to see how I could use this technology with my students. I can be contacted at odette.gabaudan@dit.ie

I am the National Coordinator of the Modern Languages in Primary Schools Initiative. We are delighted to be working with colleagues in DIT on this exciting software development programme. It is envisaged that this multi-lingual resource will be unique in being the only software product developed in line with the Modern Languages Primary Curriculum. As it is multi-lingual, pupils will be able to test their language skills in several languages as well as learn about other cultures as well as the one they are learning as part of their modern language classes. Further information on the Modern Languages Initiative can be found at: www.mlpsi.ie
Ute Hoefer-Soden
I am a lecturer in German and I will be working on the development of vocabulary banks in German. I got involved in this project because I am interested in the area of language teaching in Primary Schools, having trained as a teacher in Germany originally. I think the project could be very beneficial for language teachers and teaching in Ireland. I can be contacted at ute.hoefersoden@dit.ie
