Preliminary/Intro
In the beginning, Player
- Identifies themselves by responding to prompts on screen: (Name, Sex, Age, Class,etc)
- Chooses their language from a list-
- Personalize their avatar/help assistant/companion
Suggestion for personalization of avatar: have a wardrobe of specific clothes go with specific avatars and they are given instrcutions to dress them…e.g if they select a princess, then they may have to select: brown/black, red blouse,brunnette, auburn, blonde,black hair, curly, staright, braided hair, the white skirt, green shoes, red top,etc They can also select also collect tools/weapons or special gifts or powers http://www.dressupwho.com/games/147/super-girl.html

Escape From Enchanted Forest
Player must escape from the enchanted forest by responding to questions, requests and instructions. This game addresses language awareness as well as some cultural awareness At the end of this game, player will be able to:
- Identify the seasons in different countries
- Use simple words to describe the weather and climate of different countries
Complete the grid(abacus game)
This is the first instance of this game.Here it will be used to addresse language awareness(listening and reading strands). At the end of this game, player will be able to:
- recognize common sounds in words(identify words that sound alike e.g-nasal sounds, vowel sounds, consonants,etc)
Shower of Letters
Players have to collect letters or words to form a word or sentence for which the prompt has been given. the word is formed on screen and pronounced. The more they get, the higher their score and when they fail to spell any correctly, they lose.
Flip
Flip the tiles in response to given prompt.This is basically a tile game.
Find your clothes
Player has to follow instructions(directions, colours, clothing type, etc ) and at the end of the game successfully dress a character in his/her clothes.
Cook it!
Players role (what are they going to do?): Player will use the mouse and/or arrow keys to select items on the screen.
Game objective: Player has identify food items/collect items in a shop to make up a recipe they have. Similar to Ratatouille cooking game: http://www.dressupwho.com/games/202/kitchen-madness.html
Escape from the dungeon/wicked witch's classroom
Player has follow the clues to escape from the dungeon
Dino minder
Players role (what are they going to do?): Player will use the mouse and/or arrow keys to select items on the screen.
Game objective: Player has to take care of a pet/baby without it coming to any harm.
Description of play:In getting the pet/child/baby from home to some other location Player must respond to requests from child/baby If hungry-feed with healthy food, thirsty, tired, needs toilet,etc). If a request is not responded to within a given time, the pet/child runs away.
Spend! spend!! spend!!!
Player must go through the checkout counter,ask for the right change, not lose their money. They have to hand over the money as the assistant asks for it. If they hand over the wrong amount they lose. E.g if the assistant says a CD is “nine euros” they must type in “9” or select 9 from virtual keyboard.
trip around the world
Game Objective: To match Countries, Capital, Festival, Flag and Languages.
Description of play: ???????Using the background of the map or similar, player is instructed to go to a country and from a range of options they are sent on a quest to identify the capital, flag, language,etc associated with that country.e.e Go to Ireland on the map-player click on Ireland(recognizing it on the map) now, find the capital city- They click on Dublin, and colour a flag standing there with appropriate colours.?????????????
